The time has come for your routine dental appointment. These appointments should be scheduled at least every six months. This allows Dr. Chris Freed, Dr. Lucas Wiebe, Dr. Laura Pranke and our team to work with you to maintain and improve your dental health.

Professional Dental Cleaning
At the start of your appointment, our hygienist will thoroughly clean the plaque and tartar from each of your teeth using a small, metal tool. Plaque will be removed from below the gumline as well. Then, your teeth will be flossed and polished.

Dental Exam
Our dentists in Canton, South Dakota, will then examine your teeth, gums and mouth thoroughly for signs of decay, gum disease and other issues. The goal is for Drs. Freed, Wiebe and Pranke to diagnose any dental issues as soon as possible so that they can be treated quickly. If any issues were discovered, we will explain your treatment options to you. Of course, you have the final say in your dental treatment.

Dental X-Rays
We will decide whether or not to take dental X-rays based on factors including your age, risk of cavities and dental health history. Dental X-rays are very helpful for locating decay and other issues that are between the teeth or in other areas that make them difficult to spot with the naked eye.
